Departmental Construction
Bill of quantities is a statement showing the internal activities with their quantities and unit of measurement. This statement supported by the specification assists planning, scheduling and field execution of the project. If the construction is to be done departmentally the approved project estimates serve this purpose. These estimates will have to be supplemented detailed working drawings and estimated as and when required during the course of construction. These estimates will be, normally within the provisions of the sanctioned estimates and have to be approved by the competent authority.
