You have already learnt about the defects in sanitary fittings and plumbing. A first hand knowledge about the repairing materials would be very much helpful in attending on to these defects. Along with the repairing materials we shall study how the defects are attended and the steps to be taken for preventive/breakdown maintenance. Attending of defects with suitable repairing materials also require a Knowledge about the materials used in plumbing system.
Objectives
At the end of this unit you should be able to:
- know about the various types of tools and repairing materials required for their maintenance, and
- understand the precautions to be taken for maintenance of water supply and drainage systems in buildings.
