This should be done by mixing cement flyash and sand in. specified proportions. Mixing should be done in a mechanical mixture.
Sand and flyash should be mixed dry in a mixer and then specified quantity of cement should be added and mixed dry thoroughly. Water should then be added gradually and wet mixing continued for at least one minute. Water should be just sufficient to bring the mortar to the consistency of a workable paste. Only the quantity of mortar which can be used within thirty minutes of its mixing should he prepared at a time.
In case of hand mixing the same sequence of mixing should followed.
