It is a frequent and everyday process to make  decisions in our daily life. In industries very often the managers  have to take decisions. People in their daily life or irregularities the  decisions by intuitions. consomme or by scientific methods. Here, we will talk about decision making by scientific methodologies. Most of these methods have mathematical basis and to do it by these methods one should know little bit of it and rest of then  be supported by computer software in the relevant area which are presently available. Even though there is a strong mathematical basis for these methods most of them can be transformed into algorithm so that even an ordinary person can work out the solution. The only requirement for doing these mathematical based methods is that our requirements and the environmental scenario are to be quantified. Then only we can apply the mathematical tools. 

Some situation conditions may not be quantifiable. But in certain cases the attributes can be measured in a scale of 0 to 10 or any other convenient length, place the outcome In an appropriate value and thereby making it mathematically viable for quantification. These methods are used in a very advanced form in solving the industrial, economical and social problems but here. we will not study the basis of these methods and those who wail Lo  study further can go through  the reference books. The most often applied methods in practical, industrial and other situations are linear programming and simulation. With these two Semicircles, a good coverage of the problems c'an be tackled.
