Vertical Coordination

Vertical coordination is the linking of superiors and subordinates and of units at different levels of the organisation.

To ensure that vertical coordination is accomplished, you need to understand and apply following four classical principles : 

1. Chain of command 
2. Span of control/management 
3. Delegation, and 
4. Centralization-Decentralization
