Aesthetics and Worth

Somehow, in recent years, the intense need and &sire to reduce costs has been equated with the act of reducing quality or making sacrifices in requirements down to just  above the limit of tolerability. Yet, according to Miles, aesthetics should never be deleted, rather must be provided at the levels required.

He insisted that full retention for the customer of the usefulness and esteem features of the product is inherent in the philosophy of value analysis. Both, "use functions" and "aesthetic functions" in serving the needs of a man are part of the value process. The skill lies in   determining or making a judgement, when an aesthetic function is required, and when it is superfluous.

Here, it is worth mentioning that beauty is the quality attributed to whatever pleases or satisfies in certain ways, and whenever the difference ip cost is allocated solely to aesthetic functions.
