Vendor Rating

Once the vendor registration is done, we require to rate the vendors - the intent being that each person gets separate, special and unique treatment in the development efforts. 

While the criterion can vary from company to company, the following points can help rate each vendor : 

1. How far has the vendor accepted the specifications and inspection procedures in its entirety ? 
2. Does the vendor have an adequate and documented quality control system ? 
3. How would you rate the delivery and service of the vendor ? 
4. What are the current rejection levels of the vendor ? 
5. What has been the trend in rejections ? 
6. Is the vendor's price normally within 10% of the estimated average market price ? 
7. Does the vendor have the right and up-to-date systems ? 
8. Does the vendor have a good production planning system ? 
9. Does the vendor have a good R&D programme ? 
10. Is the vendor's Barbour relations climate good ? 
11. Who are the other quality conscious reputed customers of the vendor ? 
12. What is the vendor's reputation in the market place ? 
13. Is the vendor IS0 9000 attested ?
