Testing of concrete should co~nply with IS Codes 1199 and 516. Method of sampling and number of test specimens is given in IS 456-1978 shall be followed. For workability, a mnimum of three slump tests should be carried out at suitable intervals during the concreting day. The results should be maintained in a Register. If the mix is too dry then slump test results may not be reliable and the compacting factor test as laid down in IS-1 199 should be used. The frequency of testing shall be minimum 3 tests per concreting day.
